"Our Own"
Following the release of his first single "Smile" Niko Santino releases his second official song titled "Our Own". Although he is aware that it was quite some time in between the two songs, he wanted to make sure he was happy with how things were before it was put out there for people to listen to and enjoy.
"Our Own" captures the essence of the sound Niko grew up on. He brings that sweet and sexy R&B flavour with the classic guitar riff and the simple yet meaningful and soulful vocals to accompany it. This song depicts the struggle of having to deal with judgment from other people. Particularly when it comes to love (as expressed through the beginning part of the song). However, Niko goes on to explaining that no matter what people may say or do, never pay any attention as people never truly know how you feel. But don't be misguided! This isn't to suggest that people should be ignored. After all, everyone has the right to their own opinion and beliefs. It is simply a way to emphasise the meaning of being happy and confident with who you choose to be.
This is the first song Niko released in 2021 and following a tough year, Niko wants to put himself in a better position (and not just in terms of music). As undoubtedly you will begin to see. Please enjoy the new song and reach out to him to let him know your thoughts and feelings.
